Loveshack Entertainment has announced that its noir mystery puzzle game, Framed Collection, will come to Nintendo Switch later this year. It is also slated for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and MacOS.

The Framed Collection bundles both Framed and Framed 2 together in one complete package of noir goodness. It features “a fusion of unique game mechanics and clever narrative puzzles”. It also has “stylish heists, fast getaways and nail-biting escapades”. In it, players have to rearrange panels of an animated comic book, which will effectively rearrange the order of events and change the outcome from disaster to success.

The two titles are currently available on iOS and Android. Framed, which first released in 2014, was named as then-Konami developer, Hideo Kojima’s, game of the year. It has since won multiple awards. Its sequel, Framed 2, released in 2017 to much fanfare. It was listed on the both Apple’s AppStore, and the Google Play Store as one of the best games of 2017.

Both games feature “award-winning puzzle design, stylish hand crafted art and animation, and an original live jazz soundtrack”. Side note: I played the original Framed, and its soundtrack is guaranteed to make any Jazz fan’s day. It is genuinely a proper noir game, save maybe for the usual slow and steady voiced narrative featured in many noir titles.

The Nintendo Switch port is being published by Surprise Attack Games, known for their work on Orwell (2016), Hacknet (2015), and Hacknet Labyrynths (2017). An exact release date has not yet been revealed.
