In November 2014, the first teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens was released. In April 2015, the second goose flesh inducing trailer for the film debuted. Now, six months after the last official look at the film, the final full-length trailer for the highly anticipated seventh instalment in the Star Wars universe is here… and it is utterly forcetastic!
The final full-length trailer (watch it below) offers the most complete look at the new film thus far, and is nothing short of one geektastically infused chunk of midichlorian goodness that will give every single fan of Star Wars a beautiful two and a half minute long geekasm.
A few of the surprises from the trailer include: finally getting to see Princess Leia Organa (as veteran cast member Carrie Fisher reprises her role); Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) speaking directly to Darth Vaders helmet citing “I will finish what you started”; Captain Phasma’s (Gwendoline Christie) badassery is given some long overdue screen time; Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) is tortured for some unknown reason; Rey (Daisy Ridley) speaks with a new mystery figure; Finn (John Bodega) is seen wielding a lightsaber; and shocking references are made about the galaxy having, once again, forgotten about the force.
The trailer is sublime and it naturally generates more questions than it answers. Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens debuts this December (2015).
