When Disney bought Lucasfilm, a lot of people feared that the Star Wars franchise would be doomed to a future of obscure sequels and unnecessary reboots. Of course, the same notions presided when Mickey and company bought Marvel, but that partnership has proven to be immensely fruitful.
The unexpected merger has, however, allowed creatives from across the world to envision crossovers between the Disney and Lucasfilm universes.
