Bad Days is a wonderfully enjoyable web series of animated comic shorts that explores the concept of a ‘bad day’ in the life of a superhero.

The excellent animated shorts are the design of Junaid Chundrigar from Klomp Animation, and are reminiscent of Genndy Tartakovsky’s art style from shows like Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack.

Unlike modern cartoons, however, the Bad Days series takes a page from classic Warner Brother’s cartoons like Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner, in the sense that the series does not offer voice acting. Instead, the cartoons rely on the visual actions of the characters, alongside a series of audible moans and grunts, to relay the story to viewers. The end result is refreshing, humorous and entertaining.

Easily the best aspect of the series is that it humorously features heroes and villains from both Marvel and DC Comics – a welcome surprise considering that the series is available exclusively through Stan Lee’s World of Heroes channel on YouTube.

The introductory episode of Bad Days is embedded below and offers a great idea of what to expect from the web series. For those who are interested, the start of the full series can be found here. Enjoy!
