Right on the heels of learning about the upcoming free Cyrax and Sektor skins, additional information about Skarlet has been released.

According to NetherRealm Studios, Skarlet is the last resort in Shao Kan’s arsenal of supernatural warriors. This is because Skarlet draws her power from the blood of her victims.

So let me get this straight. A new female fighter has been released. Her name is ‘Skarlet’ and she draws her power from blood? Cue period references in 3, 2, 1…

In all seriousness, Skarlet does look like she will be quite a cool character to play with and is said to have the most gruesome fatalities in the game.

Skarlet will be available for purchase from tomorrow (21st June 2011) for $4.99 or 400 Microsoft Points and will be the first of four upcoming new downloadable warriors.
