The news that Jason Momoa would be one of the headline thespians to attend Comic Con Africa 2018 was met with wondrous approval. Even Rick Worthy’s confirmed attendance has made many people giddy with excitement. Today, Reed Pop and VS Gaming are very happy to announce that Big Bang Theory’s Kevin Sussmen has also been confirmed to attend the star studded event.

Sussmen portrays Stuart Bloom on The Big Bang Theory (TBBT). At first he was just the lovable and quirky comic book owner in the show, before eventually befriending the gang and becoming an integral part of the cast. In addition to his role on TBBT, Sussmen is known for his role as Walter in Ugly Betty, and has appeared in a variety of movies and films, such as Hitch, Made of Honor and Sweet Home Alabama.

In addition to Kevin Sussmen, Rick Worthy and Jason Momoa, Reed Exhibitions revealed at the the launch of Comic Con Africa that they were also in talks to bring out voice over artists Nolan North and Troy Baker. Given the latest addition to the star studded line-up, it looks like those additions may very well come to light.

Although ticket pricing has been announced, pricing on extras like ‘panel discussions’ and ‘meet and greets’ have not yet been revealed. Given the popularity of the stars that have been announced, I would presume that there is a good chance that ‘meet and greet packages’ for these actors will be made available in due course. When that happens, you can bet that Vamers will report on it.

Taking place on the weekend of the 14 – 16 September 2018 at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit and International Convention Centre (KGPCICC), Comic Con Africa promises to showcase all aspects of the geekosphere including, but not limited to: comic books, science fiction and fantasy related films, television series, a large range of pop culture and entertainment elements in animation, toys, gadgets, clothing, anime, manga, collectible card games, video games, webcomics, fantasy novels and so much more. It will even have an ‘Artists’ Alley’ where “comic artists can sign autographs and sell or do free sketches”. Basically, it will have everything that makes the international versions of this exposition so popular.

Owner, founder and editor-in-chief at Vamers, Hans has a vested interest in geek culture and the interactive entertainment industry.
