The long wait has primarily been because of the complexities around implementing the feature in a way to avoid any issues or ‘losses’ occurring from account and database merging (not to mention navigating the legalities of each respective platform). In this sense, the developers have made it clear how the ‘highest level account’ will become the default account for players, with lower level accounts merging into the higher level account. Thereafter, a single account can be used across a variety of platforms.

Apex Legends cross progression is a highly anticipated feature for the title, as it enhances the game’s accessibility and convenience.
