After barely getting over the gorgeous Harry Potter Lipsticks from LA Splash, comes news that the Force is strong this month as COVERGIRL has released a midichlorian infused line of limited edition Star Wars makeup! The beautifully geeky makeup line is available now, just in time to coincide with the release of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens in November.
Simply put, you can now enjoy a lustrous palette of golden shaded lipsticks and eye shadows with the Light Side, or try out black winged eye liner with deep red lipstick if you are brave enough to go over to the Dark Side. The Lipsticks come in six different shades that can inspire any look, but two particular ones are showcased by COVERGIRL: ‘Droid’ from the Light Side features colours like Gold #40, Nude #70 and Lilac #20, whereas the ‘Stormtrooper’ from the Dark Side offers colours like Red #30, Silver #10 and Dark Purple #50. Personally, I am a fan of the dark side, but which side would you choose?
To complement the lipstick colours are six shades of nail polish, which are creatively labelled as Nuclear #97, Nemesis #195, Mutant #101, Fury #93, Red Revenge #180 and Speed of Light #200. These are great colours for when you want to get that special Droids attention while you are out and about exploring clubs galaxies! With such great colour options to choose from, you can easily bring out your inner Jedi, or better yet, unleash your inner Sith.
If the science fiction derived variety of lipstick and nail polish are not enough to get your Lightsaber buzzing, COVERGIRL have also created light side and dark side mascara. Unlike the other makeup, the COVERGIRL Star Wars mascara tubes have been ingeniously decorated with some excellent quotes from the movies. Both mascaras are of the Very Black colour range, but they differ in that the Light Side is waterproof and emblazoned with “I feel the good in you”, “May the Force be with you”, “Luminous beings we are” and “You’re my only hope”; whereas the Dark Side is not waterproof and is branded with “Indeed you are powerful”, “You will meet your destiny” and “I will finish what you started” and “There has been an awakening”. Oh yes, so good!
