The Scottish Games Sale is a week-long event running from 7 – 14 September, 2023. It features more than 50 titles from developers and publishers across Scotland, with discounts ranging from 10% to 90%. Whether gamers are looking for a casual puzzle title, a hardcore simulation game, or anything in between, there should be something for pretty much anyone’s taste and budget.

However, the big takeaway is how the Scottish Games Sale is not just about saving money and having fun. It is also about supporting a good cause. The sale is in aid of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity’s Games for the Weans Campaign, which raises funds to buy adapted gaming equipment, consoles and video games for the hundreds of children across Scotland who are treated at the hospital every day. Funds raised from the sale will also help support the hospital’s Play Team, so that children in hospital always have someone to play with.

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is a non-profit organisation providing vital medical care and emotional support to children and their families in the most difficult of circumstances. The charity has partnered with Neonhive, Ninja Kiwi, Geek-aboo and Nerial to organise the Scottish Games Sale, and has received support from many other game developers who have embraced the Games for the Weans campaign.

The charity is also calling on the gaming community to fundraise and help children in hospital game as they would at home, by hosting their own gaming fundraiser, such as a streaming marathon or games night. Interested parties can find out more about how to get involved here.
