In preparation of the reveal for the next generation of PlayStation, Sony have released several videos that offer retrospective insights into the PlayStation brand since its inception in 1994.

Each of the videos have been imbedded below starting with ‘The Beginning’ of PlayStation, leading through all major home consoles, Sony’s foray into ‘portable gaming’ and the evolution of the term video games.

The Sony press conference for the future of PlayStation will stream live at 18:00 GMT-5 (01:00 GMT+2) at the official website. Twitter users can track the announcement using the following hashtag: #PlayStation2013. Vamers will also have a full scoop of the event once it has gone live.
