NieR: Automata, one of 2017’s most acclaimed games, is finally coming to the Microsoft Xbox family! While the title leaked right as the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2018 started, it was officially announced at the Xbox E3 2018 briefing that NieR: Automata Become as Gods for Xbox One will arrive on 26 June 2018.
For those who may not know, in the world of NieR humanity has been driven from the Earth by mechanical beings. Humanity sends android soldiers as a last-ditch effort to destroy their invaders and has been doing so far years… yet the war refuses to come to a close.
Publisher Square Enix announced that NieR: Automata Become as Gods would essentially be a director’s cut or Game of the Year edition. As such, the game will include the 3C3C1D119440927 expansion, a host of downloadable content, and the base game.
While the trailer itself does not show much, it does reveal that the game will be Xbox One X Enhanced, with 4K ultra High-Definition and High Dynamic Range options. This is pretty great, considering the game’s current status as one of the standout titles for 2017.
In fact, as of June 2018, more than 3 million copies have made their way into the homes of fans worldwide. With the upcoming Become as Gods edition, Xbox players will also get to witness the story of Android 2B, 9S, and A2 as they reclaim their machine-driven dystopia from powerful machines.
