The first teaser trailer for Marvel’s Doctor Strange (2016) offers an appetite whetting first look at Marvel Studios’ most interesting movie to date. Featuring a visual style that is reminiscent of the break out hit Inception (2010), the movie promises to offer mind-bending visuals.
Marvel’s Doctor Strange (2016) is being helmed by Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and is directed by Scott Derrickson (Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose).
The teaser also offered first looks at Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Steven Strange, Rachel McAdams as a fellow surgeon with ties to Strange, Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One and, of most interest, a very brief glimpse of Mad Mikkelsen’s character; who Freddy reckons may be the mysterious Doctor Strange villain known as Dread Dormammu.
Mikkelsen was recently spotted in New York City kitted out in his full garb for the film. This offers us a first look at what this potential Doctor Strange villain will look like when the film launches in November, 2016.
