November is the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), a month dedicated to pushing authors to write creatively and consistently for 30 days in a row. Those who partake will know, all to well, how they will be faced with daily trials and tribulations relating to seclusion, silence, and extreme frustration. Not only will your family and boss likely think you are dead by the third week, but your brain will feel like it has melted away into nothingness. “After all” I hear you say begrudgingly, “Iron Man Fanfic 2000 is not going to write itself!”, and I hear you! Loud and clear. This is why I took it upon myself to go through the incredible geek chic and lifestyle bits and bobs in the Vamers Store; to bring you a list of the geekiest Iron Man essentials to help keep your creative superhero juices flowing.
First and foremost, socks. We all need them. We all have them. It is one of those things that you will always need one way or another, at some time in your life. I guarantee you that there is going to be a night during NaNoWriMo that your feet will be nice and warm, and your brain feels like mush. Your Iron Man 2000 superhero is just a page away from smashing the big bad evildoer’s head in, and you just need that extra bit of motivation to keep on going. What do you do? You sink your head in frustration, wanting to give up.
Then your eyes meet with the socks on your feet. You see the cute little Iron Man figure sewn into your socks. You see him starting to move. He flies. He dashes through an apartment building. He grabs the lady before the villain comes in, and he saves the day! Of course, that all happens in your head, and your wife is angrily yelling at you for waking the baby. But at least you got that bit of story, right? Exactly!
The wonderfully soft caricature socks are made from an acrylic, polyester and spandex blend that is not only soft to the touch but also guarantees the highest quality. Every pair is packaged carefully with the biggest of geek love. The socks are an amazing part of any geek wardrobe — my personal favourites are the Iron Man and Wolverine socks. They can be found here.
Look, belt buckles are cool. They will always be cool. You do not even have to have a reason to use one, and it will still. Be. Cool. That is why I am including belt buckles in this list. Let us say that you do have to get out of the apartment sometime during the month. You head to the grocery store to get some milk for the baby and maybe a flower or two for the wife — then you bump into him (queue dramatic shriek)! Your boss gasps. He cannot believe his eyes. You are alive and well! NaNoWriMo has not claimed you, yet.
With nothing to say, you nervously begin to adjust your belt buckle; which catches the eye of your boss, who instinctively looks down. You then tell him that you have been working on one of the biggest proposals he has ever seen! Your boss quickly looks back up, as if he has been caught looking at something illicit. He then just nods and walks away, mystified and slightly traumatised at what has just transpired. Boom! Another win for you!
Not only did your awesome Iron Man Belt Buckle win you a pass with the boss, it also inspired you to write a daring scene in Iron Man Fanfic 2000 where the vilain interrupts a seemingly normal day. That is a double win in my books. Of course, that fateful day will come where your boss will want to hear the incredible proposal. What you do then is up to you, my friend. I propose you buy him a 3D Iron Man Belt Buckle as a gift… since he obviously could not take his eyes off of yours! It is, after all, the kind of gift that, according to Vamers Store, allows almost anyone to channel Marvel’s most tenacious billionaire.
If you are anything like me, you like to sit on your bed, legs crossed, iPad in front of you, and arms resting on a cushion of your choice. Obviously coffee is on the bedside table next to you, but that is a tale for a different lifetime. Again, if you are anything like me, you like to be surrounding by things that you love. Where some people may love clean and conservative themes, others would much rather prefer a huge printout of Iron Man (hence your NaNoWriMo novel name) on the cover of your bed.
I take it you will likely have an Iron Man body pillow stuffed in one of the corners of the room too. I do not judge. In fact, I envy you, dear writer, for it is so difficult to come by decent Iron Man cushions nowadays. Of course, the smaller, more comfortable cushion that your arms are resting on are a plain old white thing with no personality. It is so bland, in fact, that it is bringing your creative juices to a standstill. Man, do I have the solution for you!
Just like something out of a movie, the Vamers Store has beautiful, handmade Polygon Heroes pillows that are perfect for any office, bedroom, living room or even play pen. Write your Iron Man Fanfic 2000 in style as you sip on your coffee and add another paragraph to your manuscript, all while resting on one of the handcrafted Iron Man Polygon Heroes pillows that you now own. Just imagine completing that Iron Man collection of yours with these. Obviously, it will inspire at least two or three scenes where your character is saving the day once more! The nice thing about these pillows is that they are no more expensive than any pillow you can get at your local furniture store! So why shop there, when you can get one that features awesome superheroes?!
Charger? Check. Dock? Check. Iron Man? Hell yeah!
Last, but certainly not least, I bring you this: The Iron Man Mark III ‘Repair Version’ Charger Statue. No Iron Man collection is complete without the means of charging your phone while making it damn near awesome to do so too! This is the most expensive thing on this list, but the build speaks for itself. Not only is it a highly detailed fourth scaled replica of a broken down, “in-repairs”, Iron Man Mark III suit, but it is also a dock for your phone (irrespective of what phone you currently use). This thing is a gosh damn phone dock! How cool is that?!
The charger itself is an internal Li-Ion 3600mAH battery that can deliver an output of 2A/5V, perfect for any modern smartphone. This is the perfect addition to your workstation, or home desktop and office area. It can keep your phone charged at all times while you are working on that NaNoWriMo project, and have it looking good in the process!
The thing is, we are all human. I know how it is to take a step back from the keyboard and go onto the phone in order to check some notification or another. But I promise that you likely will not have that urge when your phone is hooked up to this baby. Instead, you will rather just want to sit and stare at the beauty that is Iron Man’s Mark III suit and the way the cables glow in the dimly lit room, all while your phone rests in its cradle. Why would you ever want to disturb such tranquillity? And then it strikes! You have gained yet another page for Iron Man Fanfic 2000! All heroes need to sit down and recuperate after big battles, after all.
The Iron Man Mark III Repair Version Charger Statue is marked down at the moment. So there has never been a better time to pick it up and add the finishing, incredible, touch to your home office, or workstation desktop, than now.
