Over the last several months, Vamers Store has received a lot of queries concerning our location because of our use of the United States Dollar as our base currency.

We would like to formally state that the currently occupied Vamers Store headquarters and warehouse are based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. As such, we absolutely do “ship to South Africa”. In fact, we offer free shipping on all orders within the republic of South Africa. We also offer affordable international shipping rates for our overseas customers.

The main reason why Vamers Store used the U.S. Dollar over the South African Rand for payments was so that we could offer PayPal as a form of payment (PayPal does not currently support the Rand for payments). However, after receiving a lot of feedback from local consumers, we have made the decision to remove PayPal as a payment method and reintroduce the Rand as Vamers Store’s base currency.

This change has already been implemented and has actually resulted in significant price drops for a variety of our high-end collectible merchandise. It is really great news for all of our customers, and especially for us because we aim to “satisfy your inner geek”.

Our Loyalty Points Program has also been reworked to offer a true 3% ‘cash back’ on all purchases made through Vamers Store.

Lastly, we would like to reiterate that Vamers Store is fully PCI compliant, we do not store any sensitive data during payment, and that we employ the security, safety and efficiency of Stripe as our payment gateway provider. Customers may therefore shop with peace of mind on Vamers Store.
