ReachOut Australia is gearing up for an exciting new initiative aimed at supporting youth mental health through its first-ever streaming event, “ReachOut, Level Up.” This event is set to take place from August 25th to 31st and will feature a week-long series of streams hosted by a diverse group of Australian content creators on Twitch.
The goal of ReachOut, Level Up is to raise both awareness and funds for ReachOut Australia’s critical mental health services. These services are particularly important given that 40% of young Australians face mental health challenges, with suicide being the leading cause of death among 14-25 year-olds . By engaging with the online gaming community, ReachOut aims to connect with young people in a space where they already feel comfortable and supported.
During the event, participants will stream a variety of content, including gameplay, creative arts, and live chats, to engage their audiences and encourage donations. There will also be opportunities for viewers to earn rewards, adding a fun incentive to support this vital cause.

Tracey Campbell, ReachOut’s Director of Marketing and Fundraising, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “We know that a large portion of young people are both online and gaming, so we are excited to launch this fundraiser to build awareness of ReachOut’s services and connect with these young gamers where they are”.
The event aims to raise at least $50,000 AUD, and those interested in participating or donating can find more information on the event’s Tiltify page. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, support a worthy cause, and ensure that young Australians have access to the mental health resources they need.
