Call of Duty fans who had the pleasure of being around when Modern Warfare was at its peak, would probably harbour a special love for its smallest map: Shipment. Well, players both new and old can now enjoy the map in full remastered glory. Call of Duty: World War II Shipment 1944 is now available to all, regardless of Season Pass ownership.

For a short time, Season Pass holders were able to play the map early. However, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have now made the map available to all players for free. It is one of the smallest and most iconic maps in the franchise. having featured in Call of Duty: Ghosts, Black Ops Declassified, and even Modern Warfare Remastered. Going by that roadmap alone, you would think that Shipment would come standard in the latest Call of Duty title? Alas, it did not. Thankfully, that is being remedied with the latest downloadable content (DLC).

The map features a narrow area filled with shipping crates in the middle. It consists of a bunch of playable “lanes” and alleys that encourage close quarter gunfights. As you might expect, the various remakes of the map have allowed it to evolve into something slightly different. Even so, the map’s structure has always stayed the same. In fact, Call of Duty: World War II Shipment 1944 features exactly the same loadout as the original, with added lighting, models, and improved assets.

Call of Duty: World War II Shipment 1944 is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows as part of a free update.
