The best open-world racing game of the year is about to get even better with its very first piece of downloadable content (DLC). The Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain DLC is coming, and will feature over 50 new events and challenges for gamers to enjoy.

For the very first time in a Forza title, gamers will be able to expereince snow, ice, extreme elevations and blizzards. So now would be a good time to get those snow tires ready and to pack in your best pullover, because becoming the new ‘King of the Mountain’ is not going to be an easy feat.

Blizzard Mountain is the focus point in the all new alpine playground that gamers will enjoy in the Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain DLC. The new mountain ‘paradise’ features unique and interesting terrain to make for challenging driving conditions, and also features new areas like an extreme sports snow park and a massive frozen lake.

The Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain DLC will encourage players to compete in a series of ‘thrilling’ events in order to be crowned ‘King of the Mountain’ – this is without a doubt some clever word play on the ‘King of the Hill’ game modes from first-person multiplayer shooters. The events will be complemented with new racing types including: Hill Climb, Descent and Blizzard race events. There are also brand new Bucket List Blueprint and Rivals events to enjoy – all with icy and deadly winter conditions to make the experience more challenging. Fans of gamerscore will also be happy to note that the Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain DLC will add 28 new achievements  to the game, which are worth 500 Gamerscore.

Of course, what would Forza Horizon be without its cars? The Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain DLC will introduce seven brand new vehicles to the game including the incredible 2016 Ford GYMKHANA 9 Focus RS RX, the 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, several classic rally cars and a few more surprises.

The Forza Horizon 3 Blizzard Mountain DLC will be available separately or as part of the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass, which gives players discounted access to two expansions for $34.99/R589. Ultimate Edition owners will also receive a discount on the Forza Horizon 3 Expansion Pass if purchased before the end of 2016.
