The Really Awesome Gaming Event (rAge) is South Africa’s biggest video games, technology and geek lifestyle event (9 – 11 October 2015). This year, Microsoft South Africa is unveiling the “best gaming line-up in Xbox history” to the South African public.

Gamers who visit the  Xbox stand at rAge (#XboxatrAge) will be able to get hands-on time with a number of blockbuster titles, test out the brand new Xbox Elite controller, as well as win prizes.

Xbox games that will be playable at the event include:

  • Rise of the Tomb Raider,
  • Forza Motorsport 6,
  • Gears of War: Ultimate (playable with the exclusive Xbox Elite controller, launching October 27),
  • RARE Replay,
  • FIFA 16,
  • NBA2K,
  • Minecraft,
  • Transformers Devastation,
  • and ID@Xbox titles The Flame in the Flood, The Long Dark and fan-favourite Cupped.

In addition to the games, the Xbox at rAge stand will also showcase how Windows 10 and Xbox work together to provide seamless sharing of accomplishments between platforms, as well as the ability to stream games, start parties across platforms and more.

Bernard Wicomb, Xbox Category Manager for South Africa, is suitably excited about the event and believes that “Now is the best time to play on Xbox One, and we invite everyone to experience the best holiday games lineup at rAge – only on Xbox! With over 15 new titles* playable before the end of 2015, combined with backward compatibility for Xbox 360 titles and support for Windows 10, we are truly defining the next-gen console experience for South African gamers”.

Xbox One is set to receive six exclusive and nine third party games between September and December 2015. The full roster is included below:

Exclusive titles:

  • Forza Motorsport 6
